Parent Policy Acknowledgement

Welcome to Academia Tutoring, A True Learning Community.

We are excited to start our 25-26 school year and are excited yo have you with us again!

To get started pay the non-refundable $25 for administrative fee.

In addition, there is an optional $40 fee for assessment and goal setting.

Thank you for considering Academia Tutoring for your educational needs.

Sessions

Session length

Private virtual sessions will be rendered in 40 minute increments. However, 30 minute private sessions are available for younger students both in person and virtually. Group sessions will require at least 4 students per group in 45 minute increments.

Participation Policy

Academia Tutoring commits to offering quality tutoring service for the specified focus area in the time frame paid for. It is our policy that students put forth 100% effort and attention for the entirety of the time service is rendered. In the event, students are late, leave early, or become disconnected or not focused, additional time will not be given. In the event a student is unable to attend any tutoring sessions for any reason, the student will have *7 days to make up that session or forfeit that session and all fees paid for that tutoring session.

Payments

Payment Policy

Our goal at Academia Tutoring is to provide the highest quality services in a timely manner. Weekly invoices will be sent on the Friday's. All payments are due with in 2 days (Sunday). Any payments not received by 12pm on Monday of the week service is to be will incur a $5 late fee. In addition, your session will be canceled until payment has been received.

Appointments

Rescheduling Policy

Our Rescheduling Policy enables clients, prior to January 2024, and private client session to reschedule appointments. Academia Tutoring does understand there are unforeseen circumstances which may make it necessary to reschedule your appointment. However, we require that you let us know at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment to avoid any associated fees.

However, any group session rescheduling will not be permitted.

*Exceptions to this policy will be considered on a case by case basis

No-Show Policy

A “no-show” is someone who misses a scheduled appointment without canceling or rescheduling according to policy. Unfortunately, all resources have been committed to deliver service and there is no way to un-commit them after the time has come and passed. We require that you cancel or reschedule an appointment according to policy to avoid any associated fees. In light of this:

• “No-shows” will be charged 100% of the session amount.

• There will be no credit to the tutorial account for a subsequent session.

• If a student accumulates 3 “No-shows”, he or she will lose their spot for tutoring.

Late Arrival Policy

Timely arrivals will keep tutorial sessions effectively flowing for all clients. If you arrive late by 10 minutes less, your appointment time will be reduced by that time. However , if you arrival time is after 14 minutes, tutors will log off the virtual session and your original session will be forfeited.

If for any reason you believe you may be less than 10 minutes late for your session, be sure to call or text your tutor in advance.

*Be advised, all tutors have a 15 minute grace wait time window. If the tutor logs off after 14 minutes without proper notification your account will be charged a $10.00 fee and the session will be forfeited.

Cancellation Policy

Academia Tutoring commits to offering quality tutoring service for the specified focus area in the time frame paid for. It is our policy that students put forth 100% effort and attention for the entirety of the time service is rendered. In the event, students are late, leave early, or become disconnected or not focused full payment is still required. In the event student is unable to attend any tutoring sessions for any reason, the student will have 7 days to make up that session or forfeits that session and any financial refund for that tutoring session. However, in the event Academia Tutoring is at fault for incomplete or service not rendered for any reason, all services will be credited for the student to be used later at the parent's discretion. No refunds will be given. All clients also have the right to transfer their paid service credits to another client if the transfer is documented in writing and both parties have signed and dated in agreement to the credit transfer.

SMS /Text Messages

Acknowledgement and Signature:

By signing below you agree and acknowledge your understanding of Academia Tutoring policies listed above. You may end tutorial services and invoices upon notifying Educators Round Table LLC (parent company) and its affiliates at any time after all account balances have been paid in full.
